Thanks to Rumble, I am able to publish documented events for everyone without fear of losing the whole channel due to ignorance regarding livestock management and handling.
A new momma cow will sometimes not accept her new baby right away but that baby needs help right away if you want it to thrive. That momma's milk contains natural protection from infection and disease in addition to a warm nutritious meal.
If a cowpoke or two can manage to draw some of the mother's milk and dowse the calf's head with it, she is likely to smell her scent on the calf and begin to take care of it as her own. (That works for mavericks too!)
This event is a crowd favorite at most ranch rodeos including WRCA Ranch Rodeos and was included in early rodeos dating back to the 1850s.

These are timed events patterned after the skills needed to manage livestock on large cattle ranches in the American West. In some of those pastures, the closest fence might be a mile or more away.
This event is usually seen at most ranch rodeos including WRCA Ranch Rodeos and was included in early rodeos dating back to the 1860s.

A Tall Tale is created when you take a few facts from a real incident or situation and then stretch them to their logical extreme. I have loved Tall Tales since childhood and have been fortunate to document a few being told. Note that some of the videos in the playlist below have been restricted by YouTube because their "woke" mentality does not allow them to appreciate the art form I presume.
