What About Bob

The What About Bob Chuckwagon Races is a multi-day event held annually on the Ward Ranch near Wilburton, Oklahoma. Scout and I camped out on the ranch along with many others. There were a number of food and other vendors but no Verizon phone service. I didn't have Starlink yet so had to drive into Wilburton in order to upload and publish content that week.

Now that I do have Starlink service I would love to come back and attempt to do a live-stream coverage if that is acceptable to the head honchos. New videos from 2922 are still being published every Thursday and can be viewed below.

Welcome, To What About Bob!

I took advantage of opportunities to talk to some of the racing teams about their racing experiences.

Dizzy-D Wagon Team

Southern Speed Wagon Team

B&B Farms Wagon Team

The only competition event on Thursday was pasture barrel racing and the first video to be published with more to come every Thursday.

Pasture Barrel Racing

Note that I had to publish this on the American Heartlands Channel because it was banned on YouTube.

On Friday, there was a pasture team roping jackpot as the main competition for the day.

The wagon races started up Saturday afternoon and I was delighted that there were more wagon teams competing here than there were at The 1836 Chuckwagon Races.

Opening Ceremony and Landrush Wagon Races

Four-Up Small Mule Wagon Races

Big Mules & 4-Up Horse Wagons

Buckboard Wagon Races

Classic Wagon Races

The race tracks had dried out much better on Saturday leading to faster runs and better footing for the four-legged teams.

You may see several events on the same day. I can only pick one to go next depending on where I was located during the prior event I attended. Fuel is expensive these days!
