The United States Team Penning Association was having its World Finals competition in the Amarillo National Center Arena and on the Tri-State Fairgrounds in Amarillo, Texas when I began documenting western culture in the American Heartlands. Here are a few video examples of some of the competition and you can find the rest on the same channel.
2019
I began by documenting a qualifying USTPA regional event in the ANC Arena.
2021
The 2020 World Finals were shut down by the Covid pandemic so I was able to document some highlights during the 2021 competition.
The week-long USTPA World Finals 2021 also included some entertainment with a Bull Bash Show with J.B. Mauney.
There are youth classes in USTPA competition too.
