I have family roots in Big Timber, Montana that date back to the late 1800s. As I was following up on family history, I found out there was a weekly PRCA-sanctioned rodeo series in progress during the week I was in town. It turned out to be a good one with Forrie Smith who plays Lloyd Pierce on the Yellowstone TV series making a guest appearance. It was great to spend some quality time with him!
I am currently publishing videos from one of the weekly rodeos every Saturday which started with a Ranch Bronc Riding competition.
The rodeo clown is from Wyoming and he tells a Texas tall tale in Montana.
You don't see steer wrestling in ranch rodeos.

The weekly series runs for six weeks beginning the first Wednesday in August and ending in September.
