White Deer, Texas is a thriving community located on US 60 between Amarillo and Pampa. I came here twice to mainly document the UPRA-sanctioned rodeos held each year that drew sellout crowds.
The rodeos are held during the annual Kickback Days celebration so I returned to document the other activities that go on each year as you can watch below.

I returned to White Deer on July 26, 2024 early enough to document the mutton bustin' and calf riding events held before the main UPRA-sanctioned pro-rodeo.
